Hada Labo, Yamaha, Meiji and Sushi Land
My first time in Japan was an impromptu plan with my dear friend, Eva. We were just talking over the phone on what to do over the December 2013 holidays till New Year and voila, we rushed booking accommodations and itineraries. Japan was pretty expensive for me because of this.
Nonetheless, it was one of my treasured trips. Believe it or not, I searched on the internet how to migrate to Japan after the trip but then it was not an easy task because it will be challenging to find work for one who does not understand and speak Nihongo.
The following photos were all taken in Tokyo. I am planning to do separate posts about our stay in Kyoto, as well as my adventure going to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort.

Fresh veggies + anchovy sauce for appetizer. It was surprisingly good. |
In front of Godiva, Chocolate Store. |
Tiffany & Co.'s Winter Wonderland collection. |
My Japanese manga moment, LOL. TBH, when I was a kid, I really admire Japanese men because of too much watching of Hikari Sentai shows, such as Mask Man, Jet Man and Bioman. |
Strawberry mochis. |
Pretty amazing how Japanese food preparation is some sort of surgery. They are very keen on cleanliness and freshness of the food. |
I love taking photos riding bikes in different cities. Given a chance, I would love the idea of migrating to somewhere where biking is a lifestyle, like the Nordic cities. |
This guy here, Hidetsugu Ueno, is a celebrity mixologist, according to Eva. Owner of Star Bar in Ginza, Tokyo |
In front of Apple Store in Tokyo, free Wi-Fi is strong here. This was our go to meeting place when Eva and I parted for a day and decided to meet for dinner in Ginza area. |
Duck meat here. |
Huge wagyu steak. |
One of the things I admire among Japanese is their love for reading. The bookstore industry is kicking and you see lots of them holding books in metro and other public areas. |
2014 New Year's Eve dinner |
Eva and I love crepe. We also craved for it in Amsterdam. |
Leo and Liezl :-) |
Mask Rider Black vibe |
Eva and I were so happy at this sushi place because of Jessica Soho lookalike. |
Japanese toilets are the best in the world. |
Selfie while in the bathroom during a cold winter night. |
Shibuya, the busiest crossing in the world |
The puzzled bartender who's wondering why we're staying in far away Mejiro and do bar hopping in Ginza! |
