Bromo and Ijen

In November 2018, Jet and I decided to try hiking Mount Bromo and Ijen in Indonesia to celebrate his birthday. Kindly note that these two volcanoes (although both are called "Mount) are about 7-hour drive away from each other. I missed this information during my research and was left with the mercy of our Indonesian driver with very limited English who failed to inform us that we are allowed to do stopovers along the way to check and enjoy other scenery in Surabaya. Anyway, Ijen is breathtaking, specifically in pictures. It can be pretty cold when doing the hike early morning but it is all worth it. Moving Up Speech at Concepcion Integrated School

In 2018, I was invited to give a Moving Up Speech to Grade 10 students of my grade school alma mater, Concepcion Integrated School in San Simon, Pampanga. I was introduced as follows: "Our guest speaker will echo the essence of wit, fun and playful personality. She is the class president of batch 1998, and was first honorable mention during her sixth grade at Concepcion Elementary School, now our CIS, Concepcion Integrated School .  She finished secondary school at Saint Mary’s College of Baliuag  and graduated  in the top 10% of her batch. She was awarded the Blue Ribbon Conduct Merit Award at Saint Mary’s in 2002. She had a hard time figuring out the right course for her, but in 2006, she earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree, major in Journalism, at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) .
